Hooven-Dayton is wholly owned by the Che International Group, LLC (CIG), a multi-national holding company specializing in acquiring and supporting subsidiary companies in diverse industries through strategic joint ventures and acquisitions.

We are currently searching for a Quality Assurance Manager in our Miamisburg, Ohio headquarters.

The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for:

• Planning and direction of all activities related to Quality, including resolution of customer, internal and supplier quality concerns
• Continuous development, documentation and maintenance of the Quality System including but not limited to control of non-conforming material, corrective actions, calibration and standard operating instructions.
• Continuous Improvement of processes throughout the manufacturing site leading to customer satisfaction


1. Provide leadership for implementing quality policies, setting objectives, and achieving annual improvement goals
2. Develop and maintain plant and departmental performance metrics and lead the Corrective Action process
3. Provide team skills training and statistical support to plant operations personnel, as required
4. Monitor plant SPC data and make recommendations to insure that plant is consistently manufacturing product within specifications
5. Assist production and inspection with resolution of daily internal manufacturing floor quality issues
6. Monitor the non-conforming material process and determine appropriate disposition including scrap, rework or deviation
7. Oversee the daily inspection process to ensure production and shipping needs are met
8. Analyze and investigate Customer complaints and ensure appropriate Corrective Action is taken
9. Facilitate Process Improvement Teams and support Lean Manufacturing initiatives.
10. Coordinate supplier related non-conformance with Purchasing to ensure proper resolution
11. Conducts mock recalls as required to assess company’s ability to trace product.
12. Provide leadership and expertise for line validations as major changes are made or new products are developed
13. Ensure all plant required quality training is conducted
14. Develop and implement plant Quality systems to include but not limited to ISO 9001, AIB, GMP and Pharmaceutical and maintain appropriate documentation (Procedures, Work Instructions, Forms, etc.)
15. Monitor company-owned gauges and schedule calibrations and repairs as required
16. Serve as backup inspector to cover for absence as well as bottlenecks in the inspection area
17. Oversee the PPAP process to ensure timely approvals
18. Conduct internal audits

Job Requirements

Position Requirements:

• Quality System experience and knowledge
• BS degree in Quality or Engineering or Equivalent experience
• Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Products
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and set priorities to handle work load requirements
• Ability to work with little direction
• Quality Certification preferred (Quality Management, Quality Engineer, and/or Auditor)
• Green Belt or Black Belt certified preferred
• Automotive Industry Quality experience is helpful
• Supervisory experience required
